In simpler words, Applied Kinesiology can be called muscle strength testing. Applied kinesiology, otherwise also known as AK, is a newer technique in alternate medicine, which tests the condition or illness of the patient by testing the strength/weakness of muscles. In many ways, this is a form of diagnosis than anything else.

At chiroFX, we offer diagnosis with Applied Kinesiology. Dr. Minors tests the muscles of the patient to get feedback on how the body is functioning, and in return, it helps in determining the best therapy choices that may work for the particular case.

How does it work?

Without going into the convoluted terms, applied kinesiology basically tries to find the weak muscles and the causes behind reduced muscle strength. The team of chiroFX will then decide the course of treatment, which will help the patient and get rid of the muscle stiffness and weakness. Varied kinds of techniques are used for treatment later, which may include reflex procedures, diet and nutritional counseling, cranial techniques and even myofascial therapies. Additional tests are often done in some cases, so as to find why the strength of a muscle has weakened over time.

To be more specific, Applied Kinesiology uses chemical, mental and structural factors to decide and diagnose the condition of the patient. Usually, when a patient is not feeling his best or has poor health, one or more of these factors are not in balance. Also, in most cases, chemical imbalance may affect mental balance and so on. Applied Kinesiology is effective in finding more about triad’s balance, and accordingly to the findings, additional therapies are used to restore balance as needed.
